PROJECTS

September 2015

This wonderful enclosure was built with money donated by our supporters like you and with the help of many family and friends. We were able to get a huge carport and hope to add onto it as more donations allow. We currently have 13 Macaws in the enclosure and we were able to give them a huge Manzanita tree to perch in.

As you can imagine there is always something to do here on the ranch. It is only with the help of our generous donors that we can continue to make the lives for these animals better. Please check this page often as we will keep it updated so you can see what we are doing with your generous funds.

JANUARY 2016

What can we say except "Wow" and "Thank you", to both our loyal boarding clients and our fabulous contractor. The new extension is officially on the Macaw Enclosure. We are just as giddy as the Macaw's with the new play space. There was no hesitation the birds love their new outside area. Here they have the best of both free-play and still have protection from the elements.

APRIL 2016

We are starting this fundraiser to build a very large flight "cage" for the macaws we currently have living here permanently.  Their current enclosure is amazing standing at 26x18 feet.  We feel that their current enclosure would be more suited for our African Grey flock which now stands at 15 members.  The new enclosure will be 26ft by 40ft and stand 10ft tall.  We hope this will give our flock of 15 macaws room to spread their wings and fly when they want to.  We will also use this money to revamp our current enclosure and make it suitable for our African Greys to live in.  We have been given an amazing little structure that would be perfect for our Green Cheek Conure flock as it is getting ready to grow larger.  This structure stands at 9x10 feet and will give them so much room to fly around.

We need to raise these funds in time to have the new building built and Macaws moved prior to our next rainy season.  Once it starts raining out hear we can not drive our heavy equipment around to move dirt, rocks and other materials needed.

We are all very passionate here at the sanctuary and love all animals.  We have been caring for many types of animals for many years.  We saw a need in the bird rescue field as there are not a lot of rescues geared to helping birds.  Even fewer places can offer permenant homes to birds in need.

If we were able to meet our goal we could finalize our building projects.  This would allow us to use all funds we recieve through boarding birds for food, toys supplies, security cameras and save for vet bills as needed.  Meeting this goal would mean the world to us here at the sanctuary and we would be able to thrive and in the long run help more birds in need.

May 2017

Excitedly here we grow again!

We are so happy to have obtained the funds necessary for getting our latest carport.

We will be looking into raising money now for the concrete, and are super excited because we have someone willing to give us concrete for 1/2 off!! We look forward to being able to have a fantastic enclosure for our African Grey flock that will be easier to keep clean. If you are interested in helping us reach our goals for the concrete we would definitely appreciate it!!
